While some major and minor upsets have kept this year’s NCAA Tournament less than predictable, there is still a national loss of interest since millions of brackets have been tossed out the window.

“Few of my teams are left for me to root for; and the results from here on out are pretty obvious,” says Nathan Rogers when asked why he might be skipping over ESPN tonight to catch an episode of the Hills on MTV.

“The possibility of making money on tickets if good teams make it far,” is what is keeping Circle City Tickets owner Renny Harrison concerned with this weekend’s games.  Ever since IU’s embarrassing loss and the Boilermakers falling out early in the second round, college basketball tickets haven’t exactly been a hot commodity in Indiana.

But what about the few all-star teams still left in the tourney?  All this face-time on ESPN and CBS is the golden ticket to finding NBA recruiters interested in the smooth center with the dashing smile.  You had better believe each teams’ starters are prepared to shine for the cameras since…. ‘yawn’…. they’re going to win anyway!

So, this weekend while you’re cheering on your ONE team left on that bracket, when the game is lagging watch for those shout-outs, ball-hogs, and all the hundreds of empty seats that should have been filled by Hoosiers fans!
