This is the second entry of a series of posts detailing the top-10 reasons why the Indianapolis Colts will dominate the NFL in 2008.  While it seems exceedingly clear to me that the Colts will dominate, apparently there are those out there who are not as adept at perceiving the obvious.

Reason # 2 the Colts will dominate 2008:

The Colts defense will be the greatest defensive force in the history of mankind.  In 2007 the Colts defense was very, very good.  They were number 1 in the NFL in fewest points allowed and were near the top in many defensive categories.  2008 will be scary for opposing offenses.  The D will get back Anthony “Booger” McFarland, Dwight Freeney, and Rob Morris who were all lost to injury in 2007.  Young stars Freddy Keiaho, Kelvin Hayden, Marlin Jackson, Ed Johnson and others will have a year of starting experience under their belts and will be disruptive forces.  Gary Bracket will continue being a great leader.  Bob Sanders will still be Bob Sanders.

I predict that the Colts will again lead the NFL with fewest points allowed by allowing fewer than 20 points all year long—total.  The Colts will only give up one touchdown all year long and should lead in every defensive category.  In fact, the Colts will probably set a record for sending all 11 defensive starters to the Pro-Bowl.

This defense will be scary good.  Mark my words.
