The summer is winding down and fall will be here before we know it. With fall comes the opening of the NFL Football season and also the innaugral season at Lucas Oil Stadium the new home of the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts open what promises to be another great season with the Chicago Bears on 9/7.
Just before the summer ends Indy will be hosting the first Red Bull Moto GP motorcycle race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. After seeing a demo of this event just before the Indy 500 it looks to certainly be an event not to be missed. As most of you know this is the final season the New York Yankees will be in Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. So the demand for tickets to see a game in the legandary stadium has been quite high. I recenty sold a regular customer tickets to see the Yankees and he caught a foul ball from Derek Jeter. So in other words its a great time to "catch" a piece of history and take in a MLB game at Yankee Stadium. It seems as if the season change happened overnight. It went from chilly to hot and steamy in no time. The quick change brought us here in the midwest some of the worst storms and flooding in many years. We will be recovering from the aftermath for some time.
Now that summer is here we can look forward to all the traditions that come with it. Namely concerts and baseball. I personally have been fortunate enough this summer to experience both, a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley and a show at The Lawn at White River. Spring has sprung so summer can't be too far off. The summer concert season is shaping up to be a great one, with already more shows announced than all of last year. The usual suspects already have dates confirmed such as Jimmy Buffett and Dave Matthews. There are also shows by living legends Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Eric Clapton. All of these shows are taking place at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana.
As great as these shows are I am not nearly as excited about any of them as I am about Radiohead. I honestly did not ever think they would come here. They are certainly known for their live shows but do not tour very often and usually only hit the larger markets.
The summer will also be the opening of the new home of the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium. The first major event there will be Kenny Chesney with very special guests Keith Urban, Leann Rhimes and Gary Allen with rumors of others circulating. In regards to the Colts it is not too early to be thinking of of seats for next season.
These are just a few of the many great events going on in and around Indianapolis.The Indiana State Fair, Conseco Fieldhouse, Murat Theatre and White River White Lies Lawn are all offering up impressive lineups as well. After being at our current location for seven years we are moving to a new office. It is located at 8301 N Keystone Avenue suite 100. Things around here are a bit messy as we pack and gear up for the move which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 6th.
