Standing in a row of empty seats, Manny Clayton gazed toward the night sky as the retractable roof to the Lucas Oil Stadium made its slow journey inward. The game itself had not been front-page worthy, but the sheer magnitude of the pristine building had Manny’s thought momentarily captivated. The first two games of the Indianapolis Colts preseason had been successful in increasing Manny’s appetite for the real thing and created a longing for September 7th when Peyton Manning finally steps out on the turf. The two 45-yardline seats Manny had called “his” for the past two games would soon be a distant memory as he had not purchased tickets for the regular season.
Josh, growing more anxious about the post-game traffic, called after a dazed Manny from the aisle. Manny began shuffling his way through the scattered popcorn and empty cups toward the exit, relieved to have dodged a near-tearful moment. By the time they reached the bottom of the front steps the roof had completely closed, sealing off any hopes Manny had of returning for the 2008 sold out season.

As Josh and Manny walked through the tunnel near the Crowne Plaza being serenaded by the strolling saxophonist, Manny’s cell phone rang in his pocket. After checking the caller ID, he reluctantly answered his wife’s call. After a few rounds of “yes dear,” Manny turned to Josh in shock from what was heard on the other line.
“It’s Becca. She found Colts season tickets online!”
“Get out! Where are the seats? How can we get them?” Josh spewed out a string of questions his excitement would not allow him to contain.
“She says we need to call Circle City Tickets first thing tomorrow morning….”
Will Manny and Josh finally get the season tickets of their dreams? Could Circle City Tickets possibly supply last minute tickets to a sold out season? Find out more next time.
